Reasons Why All Women Should Take A Multi-Vitamin
Why is a multi-vitamin right for me?
These days it has gotten more difficult to eat enough of the fruit and vegetables we may need. It is so much easier and more appealing to run through the drive thru for a burger and fries than cooking at home or having a salad. However, this means our bodies are missing out on essential nutrients that it needs. When we don’t get enough of these nutrients we are unable to lower the risk of stroke, cancer, heart disease, and more. As our parents told us as kids, we should be eating up to 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables a day. It turns out the CDC (Center for Disease Control) agrees with our parents. Almost 80% of us adults aren’t eating enough of either fruits or veggies a day as we should. This will be a problem down the road. Good news for us, there is a multi-vitamin for us to take that will help our bodies get exactly what we are lacking if we need a little extra help with those nutrients we are missing out on through food alone.
So what are some reasons you should take a multi-vitamin?
- Feel Better: It’s not always about physical health, but mental health as well. Multi-vitamins are a huge help in decreasing anxiety, stress and depression. When your body is lacking certain vitamins it can make your feel unwell and even uneasy. Adding this supplement can help you feel mentally better and even give you a natural boost of energy to feel physically better as well.
- Good for your heart: Studies have shown in the past and recently that adding a daily multi-vitamin supports heart health. By supplementing your body with these vitamins and minerals it can result in decreasing risk of heart disease and heart attacks.
- Boost immunity: Antioxidants that are found in multi-vitamins strengthen your immune system. A strong immune system can keep your from getting sick or help you get better faster. A strong immune system can also help with allergies so they may not be such a pain in the butt.
- Healthy aging: When we get older they say it may become harder to lose weight because our metabolism is slowing down. It also means that our body has more nutritional needs than it did before because we need that extra help now. Adding a multi-vitamin can help your body from slowing down as it ages. It will also help your body be able to absorb those nutrients the way it did when you were younger.
No matter what age it is never to early to start taking a multi-vitamin daily. Whether young or older, your body may still be in need of those vitamins and minerals its lacking. It is always better to start taking those vitamins sooner than later to prevent deficiencies and keep your body healthy. Sometimes life gets crazy and we just don’t have the time to pay attention to getting all the nutrients our bodies crave through food alone. Adding a daily supplement just makes it a bit easier to stay healthy during the hustle and bustle of daily life.
